I love thee enough to hold you as you struggle while the anesethiologist holds a mask to your face to make you fall asleep.
I love thee enough to consent to surgeries every three to four months since you were born so that you can be healthier.
I love thee enough to administer to your needs as you heal from the pain of the surgeries you need.
I love thee enough to live in a hospital far from home for days and weeks at a time to obtain the care you need.
I love thee enough to set up a 'hospital' in a hotel far from home as you convalesce.
I love thee enough to look at your body all scarred and altered and see beauty.
I love thee enough to enjoy you and thank God for each precious day with you.
